A recent study into the effects on our health if we reduce our calorie intake has shown that it is not healthy and will not increase our lifespan. The research has been directed to the opinions that calorie reduction will decrease our chances of certain diseases such as cancer, heart disease or Alzheimers.
The new research has shown that unless you are obese reducing your calories or resorting to a quick fix diet will not extend your lifetime and they reckon is basically a waste of time and if done to excess rather dangerous.
Personally as I have stated before anything done in moderation is good for you and if you are overweight it makes perfect sense to reduce your calories slowly and increase your exercise.
