Does a vegetarian diet help you with quick diet loss? Research states that people who follow a vegetarian diet have, on the whole, a lower body weight compared with non-vegetarians. Does switching to a vegetarian diet guarantee weight loss or is this another quick fix diet.
Well apparently not – its all about eating a healthy well balanced diet and not having huge portions. Even vegetarians can choose the wrong foods with little or no nutritional value.
If you do decide to look into swapping to a vegetarian diet bear these points in mind;
Foods must be low in fat.
Must provide all the nutrients your body needs.
Include protein especially if you have cut out foods like fish and eggs. Protein is really good at keeping you full longer.
Make sure you research such a drastic change first and ensure it is correct for you especially if you have been an avid meat eater. With anything in life it might be best to phase out certain foods slowly instead of one day waking up and saying right “I am now a vegetarian”. Your digestive system might revolt otherwise.
If anyone has swapped to a vegetarian diet and lost weight please let me know. I would welcome your comments.
