Strip That Fat – Quick Diet Loss?
Strip That Fat, well I think we have all heard of this diet plan that has taken the market by storm. Well is it yet another quick fix diet that claims to give you quick diet loss, or does it actually work?
Well if you have been reading my posts etc over the past few months you will know I am not an advocate of quick fix diets or anything that even remotely looks like one. I believe that everyone has a different metabolic rate and needs a certain level of calories and a good, consistent exercise plan which is tailored to meet their needs and daily life. I do not believe in two carrots and a cabbage leaf for a month….
For the next few posts I am going to be reviewing strip that fat and really getting down to the bare bones of what its’ really about.
Today I will run through a few of the dieting myths that are created by many large diet corporations to ensure you keep coming back and paying those monthly subscriptions. Some of these might surprise you..
My diet just broke the bank;
Any weight loss programme should be affordable and you shouldn’t have to take out a second mortgage on your home to lose a few stone. Some of the large companies, Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig to name two are companies that sell diet food. Basically this means you eat foods that they recommend, usually at inflated prices. Maybe you are paying for the packing and name, rather like designer clothes.
They also make vast amounts of money with their sign up or continuation plans. I mean who hasn’t signed up to something and forgot to cancel it even when they are not using it.
You can lose all the weight you want in a natural way;
So many diets claim this will happen but if you do your research this claim is based on the small print of you having to follow the diet to the letter. Anyone can lose weight naturally if they are given the right information in the first place, like learning to drive… All the food you need to lose weight is available at any supermarket and if you are shown the correct exercise regime you can follow it successfully.
Quick fix diets or Celebrity Diets;
These are one of my favourite gripes. There is nothing worse than feeling overweight and frumpy and coming accross a headline in one the “glossies” proclaiming a famous celebrity has lost half her body weight in under a week. These diets are quick fixes and quick diet loss will not happen for long. Yep you will lose weight in the first few days, the majority of that being water but it will come back the first day you resume a normal life.
Diet Pills or weight loss pills;
I don’t care what you call these it just makes me so angry they are on sale at all disguised as some healthy, natural cure for all your dieting woes. A large majority of these pills can do more harm than good and they drain your body of fluid which gives you the illusion that you are thin.
Some of these pills stop your hunger pangs but I really don’t think starving yourself is the answer.
The other side of taking diet pills is the side effects and also some people will eat junk food because they think they are compensating with diet pills. Again another quick fix diet.
The exercise gadgets that will make you stick thin overnight (Not)!;
Who hasnt got a garage or shed full of the latest exercise crazes – my worst buy was a rather dodgy rowing machine that fell off its runners and propelled me into the wall. Oh and I have also got one of those strange balls you are supposed to roll around the living room in. Well everyone had a good laugh at that one.
One of the major players at the moment is “get amazing abs” well yes I am sure that is really nice but what most people don’t realise is that unless you have a healthy, regulated diet you won’t be able to see your abs for fat….
Well there is a quick review of some of the myths that we all fall for and these kind of myths are around in any industry. Just remember a diet should not cost a fortune, should not make outlandish claims, not require a secret wizard potion that turns you green and you certainly should not be rolling around the living room on a great red ball!
In the next post I will give you an overview of how strip that fat works to see if you think it is just another quick diet loss.
